Weather Radar and Weather Avoidance

The course covers topics related to thunderstorms and weather phenomena associated with thunderstorms. Microbursts, weather radar theory, NEXRAD, techniques, and limitations. A chapter with Ice Crystal Icing (ICI) included. 

ABOUT THE COURSE

The course meets the requirements for EASA, FAA, CASA operator’s initial and recurrent training for flight crew. It is also suitable for any pilot who flies under IFR.

We have included some practical suggestions of how to operate the weather radar. This course will give you a better understanding of how to assess a storm cell and decisions for the best avoidance procedure.

The course has great illustrations and explanations with audio and text.

The course is divided into chapters with a quiz after each chapter. A certificate of completion will be automatically generated after completion.
